01Major parts, matched by number
Beyond complete engines and transmissions, trucks go down for the parts around them: a failed differential, a turbocharger, an engine computer, a cracked head. These parts vary by truck build just as much as the engine does, so the part number is the fastest route to the right replacement.
Tell us the part number from the tag, casting or label, or describe the part if the number is gone. With the truck VIN we can confirm what the truck was built with and search supplier sources for a matching unit. Your quote describes the specific part and what's included.
- Differentials and rear ends, axles and hub assemblies
- Turbochargers, cylinder heads and fuel injection parts
- ECMs and engine computers, aftertreatment (EGR, DPF) parts
- Radiators and cooling, starters, alternators, driveshafts and PTOs
02What to send for a part quote
The part number is the single most useful detail. Many parts also depend on the engine or axle they attach to, so include that if you know it. ECMs and other electronics usually need programming to the truck after installation; we'll note what the unit includes and what your shop will need to do.
- Part number from the tag, label or casting
- Truck VIN, year, make and model
- Engine model or axle model the part fits
- Photos of the old part and its tag
03Shipping and cores
Smaller parts ship by parcel service; heavy parts such as differentials and heads ship by freight on a skid. Some parts, especially rebuilt or remanufactured units, carry a core charge refunded when your old part is returned. Freight and any core terms are stated on your quote.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Which truck parts can you help find?
Major engine and drivetrain parts for Class 6–8 trucks: differentials, axles, turbochargers, ECMs, cylinder heads, fuel system parts, aftertreatment parts, cooling parts, starters, alternators, driveshafts and PTOs. If your part isn't listed, send the part number and ask.
What if I can't find the part number?
Send the truck VIN, the engine or axle model, and photos of the old part. That's often enough to identify the right replacement.
Does a used ECM need programming?
Usually. An engine computer has to be set up for the engine and truck it goes into. That's normally done by a dealer or qualified shop; we'll note what the unit includes.
