01C13 vs C12
The C13 succeeded the C12. They are different engines with different blocks, fuel systems and ECMs. A C12 is not a direct replacement for a C13.
02On-highway vs off-highway C13
Cat continued to build C13 engines for off-highway and industrial uses after leaving on-highway. These engines carry different emissions certification, calibration and accessories. An off-highway C13 is not a legal swap into an on-highway truck.
032007 ACERT with DPF
The 2007 C13 adds a DPF and different sensors and calibration. Match the emissions year of your truck.
